Adapting Our Live Event Production Business During COVID
Updated: Jun 8
The world changed on March 14th, 2020.
For the Audio visual industry this seemed to be the end. The dreadful emails from all our clients, cancelling all upcoming events indefinitely.
Dealing with the knowledge that the company may not survive and delivering the devastating news to all the companies contractors and employees.
3 months passed, and the sun started to shine!
I woke up one morning and decided that it was time to make a difference and time to adapt.
I made the decision to let go of the fear, go back into the warehouse and start brainstorming and calling everyone I know.
Thus VProStream was born: the adaptation of all the knowledge obtained from years of experience in the live events industry, converted to an all inclusive virtual event production company.
I started to bring in camera operators, computers, upgrading all possible networks and backup networks, and educating myself on a dozen pieces of software.
A few months later, I was able to begin bringing back some of our staff and developing specialty teams for boutique virtual productions.
The business kept growing and adapting, and here we are now in June 2021. Dozens of perfectly executed virtual events and broadcasts, and dozens booked for the coming months.
At the same time, as Covid gets closer to being something that once was, we are beginning to see an unprecedented jump in live event bookings!
VProductions inc. is coming back stronger than ever, and we can not wait to provide you with the absolute best customer service!
